Modules
Imagine this site as a short trip with four stops—and each stop now has four lessons (sixteen sittings in all), matching the owner’s source-pack branches.
You begin in a garden and a kitchen—plants, processing, brewing, and the compounds in a mug. You travel inward into the body and brain. You climb out again into history, monasteries, warm hands, and ritual. You end in a lab where people play careful games about risk and trust. Each lesson answers a question the previous one left hanging.
Nothing here requires a science degree. Each lesson opens with a hook, walks you through the facts in story order, cites sources with clickable footnotes, tucks denser detail into collapsed foldouts, and leaves previous/next doors open.
The itinerary (four hubs)
| Stop | The question that pulls you forward | Open |
|---|---|---|
| 1. The Chemical Core | Why do two cups from the same plant taste—and feel—so different? | Module 1 hub |
| 2. Body, Brain & Mood | Why does tea so often feel awake and calmer than coffee? | Module 2 hub |
| 3. History, Ritual & Warmth | Is tea only chemistry—or also empire, ritual, and a warm hand? | Module 3 hub |
| 4. Decisions & Choices | Does the cup change how we choose—and how do researchers even measure that? | Module 4 hub |

Why four lessons per module, not three? The source packs already use a four-branch skeleton in every module. Splitting one long chapter into those four sittings keeps each page a full sitting—without stuffing three topics into an oversized scroll.
If you only have ten minutes
“What do aisle labels mean?”
Start with Tea basics, then Module 1 hub.
“What’s in my cup?”
Start with Cup reference, then lessons 1.3 Brewing and 1.4 Compounds.
“Why awake but not jittery?”
Go to Module 2 hub, then the Linkages bridge on L-theanine timing and calm brain waves.
“Is tea only chemistry?”
No. Module 3 hub is the zoom-out: trade, monasteries, warm mugs, brewing breaks.
“Do drinks change choices?”
Module 4 hub—with the packs’ caveats that lab doses are not your everyday mug.
When you are ready to begin at the beginning, open Module 1. The water is already hot.
- Footnotes: superscript numbers jump to the full citation; the caret jumps back. Hover often pops the note.
- Foldouts: boxes titled “More detail…” or “Click for more detail” stay closed until you open them—so the main story stays readable while the expansion stays one click away.
